Communist rebels attacked a mining company in Compostela Valley on Thursday afternoon, and fled with several firearms after also torching heavy equipment that included a pay loader P42 million.
No one was hurt in the attack on the office of Apex Mining in Masara, Maco municipality.

A lone gunman pumped three bullets killing on the spot an official of the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) in Koronadal City in Sultan Kudarat on Wednesday noon.
