NCIP officer gunned down

A lone gunman pumped three bullets killing on the spot an official of the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) in Koronadal City in Sultan Kudarat on Wednesday noon.

Rafaelito Handoc was shot dead a day before he was to preside a multi-sectoral meeting on mining problems in the province.

Handoc is the chief of the technical management services division of the NCIP based in Koronadal City.

He was having lunch in an eatery near his office on Osmena St. when gunned down by the lone gunman who fled on a motorcycle.

Handoc was recently designated as officer-in-charge of the NCIP-South  Cotabato.
